Father's Day is nearly here. I was reflecting the other day, as I do, and realised that last year we had Mother's Day in lockdown and now we have have Father's Day in lockdown... nicely balanced out. Will you be doing anything to celebrate Father's Day? We will be making french toast for Ash while he has a sleep in (usually he gets up and makes me a coffee every morning so it is a huge sacrifice). Dotty has been working on a beautiful artwork and later we will write all the things she loves about her dad on it. Bobby has been making duplo walkie talkies and all sorts of creations for his daddy. I've been knitting him a beanie, although I ran out of yarn last night and am awaiting a delivery in the post to be able to finish it... Ash has requested souvlaki for dinner, so we will have our first meal not made at home since the beginning of lockdown.
Yesterday, Mattia and his mum Giuliana sent through all the words he made from the magic square, did you find all of these words too?
I am going to give you a word. Can you change the beginning sound/letter to make other words?
Example:
/t/op - /m/op - /p/op - /h/op - /c/op - /l/op - /s/op.
Your word is cat, how many 3 letter words can you make that end in -at?
Extra for experts, can you change the final sound/letter to make words? How many 3 letter words can you make that start with ca-?
Example:
to/p/ - to/g/ - to/w/ - to/y/
Maths
Make some addition and subtraction problems for each other using either the stories of Farmer Plus and Mr Minus or using items around you.
Happy Friday, enjoy your weekends!
Remember, email me if you need anything, or to just say hi.
